Flexible Joint


A flexible assembly consists of a tube (metal hose), braid, and end fittings (union, flange, nipple, socket, etc.). Flexible hoses are used for piping in oil tanks, preventing vibration caused by air compressors, preventing thermal stress, and exhaust gas piping in high-speed diesel engines. Flexible joints have a small product length and a flexible nature, making them suitable for connecting pipes and equipment in small installation spaces and absorbing equipment vibration. They are mainly used for connecting pumps and piping.
The flexible configuration is composed of a tube (metal hose), a braid, and end fittings (union, flange, nipple, socket, etc.).

When pressure is applied to the inside of the tube, it elongates in the length direction, and the external braid restricts the elongation and protects the tube from external impacts.

Flexible hoses are typically connected to end fittings by welding the ends of the tube. However, welding can lead to reduced corrosion resistance compared to the base material due to thermal stress. To address this issue, our flexible hoses are designed with a simple structure and assembled with a focus on corrosion resistance.
