    Metallic Expansion Joint

    Single Type
    • Single Untied Type

      It is composed of a single bellows and can absorb all displacements of the axis, lateral, and angular variations of the pipe section.
      Additional reinforcement can be added depending on the pressure, and since it does not suppress internal pressure thrust, anchoring and guides should be provided to the pipeline.

    • Single Tied Type

      It consists of a single bellows and can only absorb lateral displacement of the pipe section.

    Universal Type
    • Universal Untied Type

      It is mainly applied to piping systems with significant axial and angular displacement.
      Anchoring and guides must be provided to the pipeline as internal pressure thrust is not suppressed.

    • Universal Tied Type

      It is configured with a connecting intermediate pipe between two bellows and can absorb only lateral displacement of the pipe section.
      Additional reinforcement can be added depending on the pressure, and a tie rod is installed to suppress internal pressure thrust, so anchoring and guidance are not required for the pipeline.

    Hinge Type
    • Single Hinge Type

      It can absorb the thrust generated internally by Hinge-arms and Hinge-pins and can absorb angular displacements mainly occurring in one plane.
      Some hinge joints and hinge plates can have slots to absorb axial displacement, but in this case, anchoring and guides must be provided for the pipeline.

    • Double Hinge Type

      It consists of two bellows that absorb the internal thrust generated by hinge arms and hinge pins.
      It can absorb many angular displacements occurring mainly in one plane.

    Gimbal Type
    • Single Gimbal Type

      A single bellows with Gimbal Ring and two sets of Gimbal Arm and Pin are used to absorb thrust, and it can absorb angular displacement in all planes.
      There are two types of Gimbal Rings: circular and square.

    • Double Gimbal Type

      It is configured with an intermediate pipe connected between two bellows, and it uses two Gimbal Rings, two pairs of Gimbal Arms, and Pins to absorb thrust, allowing it to absorb all axial and lateral displacements in all planes.
      The Universal Type and Double Gimbal Type are applied where the Universal Type is used for greater axial and angular displacement.

    Pressure Balance Type
    • In-Line Balance Type

      It is applied when anchoring installation is not possible or when considering the absence of thrust on turbines, nozzles, pumps, etc. It balances the thrust generated by the flow bellows with a balance bellows with twice the cross-sectional area to prevent thrust from occurring.
      The interaction between the Flow Bellows and the Balance Bellows transmits the thrust through the tie-rod and balances it.

    • L-Balance Type

      It consists of two bellows and absorbs the thrust generated internally by hinge arms and hinge pins.
      It can absorb significant angular displacement mainly in one plane, and it consists of two bellows that absorb the thrust generated internally by hinge pins and hinge arms.

    Rectangular Type
    • Rectangular Type

      It is applied to low-pressure large duct lines and can absorb all displacements of the axis, lateral, and angular displacements of the duct section, but it is mainly used for axial displacement.
      There are four types of corner types: miter, double miter, camera, and circular. If the customer does not specify, the miter type is usually applied.
